SPEAKERS:

Mark Schwartz
Mark Schwartz is President of PIRA Energy Group. He oversees the development of PIRA’s longer-range energy outlook as well as the oil supply, demand and pricing outlooks. Mark joined PIRA as a Managing Director and head of the Scenario Planning Service in August of 2002. Prior to this, he was Chief Economist of ExxonMobil Corporation where he was responsible for developing ExxonMobil’s economic and energy outlook, the company’s energy price  forecasts, and company policy positions on a wide range of energy issues.  Before the ExxonMobil merger, Mark was the Corporate Economist at Exxon International Company. During earlier assignments over his 25 years with Exxon, he worked in Exxon’s International Natural Gas Marketing, Upstream Planning, Treasurers, and Corporate Planning functions.

Mark is a member of the National Business Economic Issues Council and the Conference of Business Economists and a past board member of the US Association for Energy Economics.   He is also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Grzegorz Peszko
Grzegorz Peszko is a Lead Economist in the Climate Change Group of the World Bank where he leads analytical and advisory services on economics of climate change mitigation, as well as climate, energy, economic and fiscal policies. Prior to joining the World Bank he worked for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as a lead energy/environmental economist and for the OECD as an environmental finance program manager. He was also an associate professor at the Krakow University of Economics, policy adviser for several governments, private consultant and investment project developer. He was a lead author of the IPPC 3rd Assessment Report (WGIII), and (co)author of several journal articles and books. Grzegorz holds MSc in economics from University College London, MSc in political sciences from Yagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland and PhD in economics from Krakow University of Economics.

Ebrahim Rahbari
Ebrahim Rahbari is a Director in the Global Economics Team of Citi Research in New York. Ebrahim focuses on economic events, developments and trends of global significance, including trends in monetary policy, global investment, debt and deleveraging and longer-term growth in output and trade. Ebrahim joined Citi in 2010 and prior to his current role, Ebrahim was a Director of European and Global Economics in London, where he focused on economic developments in the Eurozone, including the ECB and the European sovereign debt and banking crisis, and was Citi's lead economist for Germany (2012-15) and for Spain (in 2012). Ebrahim holds a Master's degree and PhD in Economics from London Business School and a BA (Hons) in Economics and Management from Oxford University (Balliol College).

Edward Morse
Ed Morse is Chair, Energy Forum Advisory Board and Managing Director and Global Head of Commodity Research, Citigroup. Formerly Head of Commodity Research for Credit Suisse,  Chief Economist, LCM Commodities and Managing Director and Chief Energy Economist for Lehman Brothers, his career in the energy sector spans more than three decades and includes senior positions in business, government, academia and publishing. Dr. Morse earned his doctorate in politics at Princeton University and his master’s degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
